Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and IAMSULTAN LLC, a company licensed in the Sharjah Media City (Shams) Free Zone, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), for your use of ideas.so. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use ideas.so for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you can.
What ideas.so does
You write down a startup idea and answer a few questions about it. ideas.so then researches it: who already sells something like it, how many people could pay for it, and how many people search for it or write about the problem. The research is written by AI models from public web pages, search results and data providers.
Research is a starting point, not advice. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong: a model can misread a page, a page can be wrong, and a figure can be an estimate. Every finding links to where it came from so you can check it. Don't rely on ideas.so alone for a financial, legal or investment decision.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over.
- Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts to collect more free credits.
Workspaces
Ideas live in workspaces. A workspace's owners decide who is in it, what role each member has, and whether it's deleted. Everyone in a workspace can see its ideas and their research. When you invite someone, you confirm they're happy to get the email.
If you delete your account, ideas you wrote in a workspace that still has other members stay with that workspace. See the Privacy Policy.
Your ideas
Your ideas are yours. We claim no ownership of what you write or of the research done for it. You give us permission to store, copy and process your ideas only as needed to run ideas.so for you, which includes sending them to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete them, apart from the short time they take to leave our backups.
Don't put in anything you don't have the right to share, such as someone else's confidential information.
Research findings include other people's content: quotes from reviews and forum posts, company names, logos, prices and figures from public pages. They belong to their owners. You may use findings for your own work on your idea. Don't republish other people's content from them at length.
Credits and payment
- Research costs credits. Starting research on an idea, or running a section again, uses one credit. It's charged only once at least one section of the run completes, so a run where every section fails is free.
- Every person gets free credits once, with the first workspace they create.
- Credits are bought by a workspace, as a monthly plan or as a top-up. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Plans renew every month and charge the workspace's card until an owner cancels. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, and you keep the plan until then.
- A plan's credits are for that month. Unused ones don't carry over to the next month.
- Top-ups are available to workspaces on a plan, at that plan's rate. Top-up credits don't expire, and they're used after the month's credits run out.
- Payments are taken by Stripe through our billing provider, Autumn. Prices are in US dollars. Taxes are added where the law requires.
- Refunds. Credits that have been used aren't refunded, and neither is part of a month. If something went wrong, such as being charged twice or a run that was charged but shows nothing, write to [email protected] and we'll put it right. Nothing here limits a refund the law gives you.
- We may change prices. A change to a plan's price applies from your next month, and we'll email the workspace's owners before it does.
Using ideas.so fairly
Don't:
- break the law with it, or use it to harm anyone;
- try to get into accounts, workspaces or data that aren't yours;
- probe, overload or attack the service, or get around its limits, its credit checks or its security;
- scrape it, copy it, or use it to build a competing service;
- resell access to it without our written agreement;
- put in malware, or content meant to manipulate the AI models into misbehaving.
Connected apps
You can connect an app, such as an AI assistant, to your account. It can then do what you allowed it to, as you. You're responsible for what you connect. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings.
Other services
ideas.so relies on other providers, listed in the Privacy Policy, and links to other websites. We aren't responsible for their content or their terms.
Our service
ideas.so, its software, design and name belong to us. These terms let you use it; they don't give you any of it.
We change ideas.so over time: we add things, change them and sometimes remove them. We aim to keep it running but don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Ending
You can stop using ideas.so and delete your account at any time in Settings.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or that the law requires us to. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close ideas.so altogether, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused credits paid for with money.
Disclaimers
ideas.so is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those in these terms, including any that it fits a particular purpose or that research is accurate or complete.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or a decision made on research.
- Our total liability to you for anything to do with ideas.so is limited to what your workspaces paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if that is more.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud.
Your responsibility
If someone makes a claim against us because of what you put into ideas.so, or because you broke these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using ideas.so after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. The courts of Sharjah decide any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your own courts.
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
